Jake Meyer, International mountaineer and Everest record breaker is now an avid supporter of the balm and now uses it as a permanent part of his first-aid kit!

"High in the mountains the air is much thinner, and the increased UV light and solar radiation not to mention the extreme cold means that your skin is much more susceptible to sunburn and frostbite. Moa balm is the most soothing and effective product that I've ever used, and is now a permanent part of my first-aid kit. Soothing and healing sunburn, frostbite, cuts and scrapes: Moa balm is as an important part of my kit list as my ice-axe and crampons."

Used by nurses! Reports of Thury’s son's remarkable recovery encouraged the nurses at one of Iceland's largest hospitals to offer the balm as a complimentary treatment for the aftercare of burns

The balm helps to reduce itching, encourage healing and minimise scar tissue. Some young recovering patients who have suffered horrific burns have found the balm indispensable; enabling them to sleep through the night and reduce the unbearable discomfort and itching, as well as promoting supple skin around the joints, allowing increased movement. Nurses have praised the balm because unlike conventional aftercare treatments, Móa does not result in the usual side effects and is free from petrochemicals, lanolin and artificial preservatives.

Please note; this is a natural, non-invasive complimentary aftercare product and should never be used for the primary treatment of burns. In the event of an accident, seek medical help immediately.

Móa and another burn story:
'I got to know the Móa balm in 1996, when my daughter fell on a hot radiator and burned her face. The doctors said that she would need a surgery for a 3rd degree burn, possibly a skin transplant. They also said she would always carry a scar. I heard a rumour about a woman who makes a balm that heals burns. I ordered some, and started putting it directly on the burn many times every day. In 10 days the wound was almost healed and is not visible today at all'

Móa and the Mountaineers - Used by mountaineers in the Caucasus to prevent and treat frostbite.
In September 2006, Haukur Grönli and a group of Icelandic mountaineers went on an expedition to the peak of Mount Elbrus in the Caucasus Mountains. Mount Elbrus is the highest mountain in Russia and in preparation for the extreme and difficult conditions they were to encounter on the climb, each of the climbers took 100 grams of Móa balm with them to protect their skin. Despite the severe cold and harsh winds, none of Grönli ‘s team suffered from the frost burns familiar to climbers embarking on such potentially harrowing challenges.

However, they did encounter other less fortunate climbers, among them an Englishman, Roger Stroud, who was suffering from severe frost bite on his face. Grönli and his team treated Stroud’s skin with Móa balm and gave him a jar to take away with him. After only a week of applying Móa diligently to the affected area, Stroud’s burns eased and the skin healed completely. Grönli and his team witnessed first hand the transformative effects that Móa has on the skin and swear that it really is a miracle balm that no adventurous traveler should ever leave home without. Stroud himself also believes the balm is a wonder product with miraculous healing properties.

“The Móa Balm was absolutely brilliant. I have never seen anything like it before. I put the balm on the affected area several times a day-it took about a week before my face was completely better-remarkable considering how bad it was.”

Roger Stroud, who used the Móa balm to treat frost bite to his face.

A Psoriasis sufferer – ‘Nothing I have ever tried before has been this effective.’
I wanted to write in to tell you all at MOA that i love your product. I am long suffering from the incurable skin disease psoriasis. It comes and goes but when it comes it usually attaches its'self firstly to my face, arms and legs. People constantly touch my face to wipe of what they think are crumbs or bits of apple but are actually flakey skin cells produced by the disorderand are in fact still attached. Very embarrassing for both parties, especially me. As a woman in my 20s I have become extremely self conscious of it. I have tried everything from steroids to tar treatment, special diets and UV sun beds. Nothing has worked in the long run. Being a bit of a hippy at heart when a friend introduced me to your all natural product i jumped at the chance to try it out. Now i use it all the time. It hasn't cured my psoriasis completely but as soon as i apply it it disappears within hours. Amazing!!! Nothing i have ever tried before has been this effective. Its early days yet i have only been using moa for a month, but I completely intend to keep it up to see the long term ,benefits...... maybe a complete cure, i will keep you posted!

Thank you Warm regards,

Cracked, blistered feet - Móa to the rescue!

'As a head of drivers' team in a busy public transport company, I am on the run 10 hours a day. The result is cracked skin on my feet and infections in the cracks. I have neither time nor mood to stay at home, waiting for my feet to heal, but the situation got almost unbearable during the last autumn. I had at least 6 kinds of creams from my doctor, some for fungus, some for healing, some with steroids. Nothing worked. My wife was persistent in me trying some herbal balm and I agreed on that reluctantly. Each night for weeks she treated me with the Móa balm. For a few days there wasn't much recovery, but then suddenly no new cracks opened and slowly my feet got back to normal'

Rope burns –
I believe this balm should be a part of every first aid kit!'
'8 years ago I was on mountain rescue training in my special alert rescue team. I was subsiding down from a high cliff, when my gear broke and I was free-falling down the cliff. I grabbed my rope as hard as I could with my bare hands and saved myself from a major mayhem, but the result was 3rd degree burns on both hands. In the ER I was told that - due to the burn reaching the joints on my fingers - I would have disabled hands for the rest of my life. My mother heard about a lady from Iceland, making a miracle balm which healed burns. I used it on my wounds twice a day for the next month and my ability to move my fingers is now the same I had before my accident. This is something that my doctors did not expect and when I review what they first told me, there is no doubt in my mind that this balm rescued my hands. Today I always carry Móa with me and use it on dry skin, wounds and burns. I believe this balm should be a part of every first aid kit!'

Cosmetic scarring – ‘I can't believe this balm isn't more widely known about’
I didn't expect quick results but I've had them within days of using the balm. The contracture has loosened and the scar is a lot less aggressive looking, the contracture although only small was across the corner of my eye so I was constantly aware of it and my eyes felt uncomfortable all the time. For the first time in 13 months I have hope that my burn scars will improve to a point that I am happy with how I look.

I can't believe this balm isn't more widely known about, I have tried nearly every cream and treatment going (apart from aggresive cosmetic procedures) and although some have had small slow progress the Moa green balm is the only thing that's had any significant effect on the scars.
